Meet our Founder

Rosie is an experienced community and non-profit leader, small business owner, FIDM graduate, and a mother. As a lifelong SouthBay native, Rosie knew the community needed an organization like Divine Hug. As a result, in 2020, mid pandemic, she founded Divine Hug. 

Rosie attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in the early 2000's, She realized students in the Long Beach, South-Bay and Harbor Area did not have the same access to internships and jobs as students who lived in Downtown Los Angeles or West LA.

Rosie wanted to create a workspace where students, interested in the area of fashion design, can practice their creative skills while having a safe environment to work in, not feel judged and earn a living.
